Sorry the 2017 Yatra in the beautiful French countryside is now full.
If you really want to come, you can send an email and be added on the waiting list. We’ll contact you if we have cancellations, but there is no guarantee.
We have friends organising “Other Events” in the same spirit before and after the Yatra, you can follow the links and change your plans.
And may be see you next year !
On this site you will find all you need to know about the Dharma Yatra; a walking meditative "pilgrimage" through the beautiful French countryside.
We are preparing for the 17th annual French Dharma Yatra. It will start on the afternoon of Tuesday July 25, 2017, and end at midday on Friday August 4, 2017.
This year the Yatra will start near the village of Dieulefit about a 30 minute drive east of Montélimar.
The nearest airport is Marseille or Lyon.
The nearest train station is Montélimar.
Precise directions will be sent to you during registration.
The end point of the Yatra will be in the same area, with transport provided to the railway station and the Yatra car parking place.
This year's Dharma teachers will be Christopher Titmuss, Zohar Lavie, Denis Robberechts and Nathan Glyde.
We have a maximum capacity of 125 adults and up to 25 children (under 16 years old).
A Yatra is a pilgrimage. Men, women and children have gone on walking pilgrimages for thousands of years. The Yatra operates without a fixed cost for participants, but rather in the spirit of sharing costs amongst all participants and with the invitation to make a donation to teachers and managers.
The only fixed fee we ask for is the registration fee that, much like a deposit, confirms your presence and assists us with some of the pre-event bills.
We hope you will choose to join, it is a wonderful event.
