There is the opportunity to participate in the programme of the Moulin de Chaves Meditation Centre, France, prior to the Yatra and then join the Yatra.

Prior to the Dharma Yatra, there are also some retreats held by Open Dharma in Spain.

Following on from the Yatra, there is a "Meditation and Creativity" retreat, from 11-21 August 2009, organized by Dharma Nature, with facilitating by Denis Robberechts & Chad Bennett and Qi Gong & Source Movement by Kiet & Sandra Dao.

After, Dharma Nature organizes a "Backpacking retreat" from 22-30 August 2009, with Denis Robberechts and Kiet Dao.

Open Dharma also has a Deep Rest retreat in Holland, from 14-22 August 2009.
